LISTEN
SOFTEN
REMEMBER

Through sound and stillness, in the right space, something quieter begins to rise. A soft place to land.

Life is full, busy, loud, endlessly moving. So many distractions, so much noise. And yet, ironically, stepping into a space of sound is what helps quiet it all.

Sound becomes a gateway - into meditation, into the body, into the spaces we so often forget to tend. It puts a gentle spotlight on what’s needed within.

A moment to listen, to unwind, and to remember what’s always been there.

ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Jodie. I work with sound; as a way to ground, express, soften, and shift. I’ve been holding sound spaces for over four years, guiding group and one-on-one sessions in Malta and Switzerland.

I come from a musical family. As a child I played saxophone, clarinet, and percussion. I also danced, so music was a strong pillar for me, a constant thread through movement and sound.

Years later, I found my way back to it - not as performance, but as presence and expression. I explore sound as something we feel more than hear.

My approach is shaped by years of training with teachers from different lineages and philosophies. From intensive gong training in Spain to metaphysical studies in Italy and playing workshops in Australia, I’ve gathered tools from each and woven them into a practice that feels grounded and intuitive.

I’m deeply moved by the quiet intelligence of the natural world and am a big animal lover. I care about sustainability; how we live, what we choose, and the kind of footprint we leave behind. I’m inspired by all forms of music — anything that makes my body react, move, or feel. I tend to follow threads of interest wherever they lead - not needing a clear reason, just the pull to learn, feel, and explore more deeply. That’s how I came to playing the gongs… through curiosity. Curiosity didn’t kill the cat - it fed my soul.

ABOUT THE WORK

There’s a growing body of research around how sound affects the body and mind. But long before the studies, people were using rhythm, tone, and vibration to rest, heal and realign.

Modern studies have shown that sound meditations can help reduce stress, anxiety, and fatigue, and increase feelings of well-being. The vibrations interact with our nervous system, brainwaves, and even our cells - encouraging the body to shift from states of tension to rest.

But even without the science, we know this: when we give ourselves time to listen deeply - to sound, to stillness - something softens.

SESSIONS

I offer a variety of sessions designed to introduce and deepen your experience with sound:

  • Group Sound Baths: Immerse yourself in collective sound sessions where vibrations from instruments like gongs and crystal bowls guide you into relaxation. All sessions in Malta are held at Island Yoga.

  • Private Sessions: Tailored one-on-one experiences focusing on your individual needs and intentions.

  • Trainings: For those interested in delving deeper, I provide training sessions that explore the techniques and philosophies of sound work.

  • Events: Join me at various events where sound plays a central role in fostering community and well-being.
